Mykhailo Bno-Airiian is Vice President for Global Affairs at MHP, an international food and agriculture company headquartered in Ukraine. He leads the company’s global affairs agenda, including government relations, international partnerships and engagement with key stakeholders worldwide.
Alongside his role at MHP, he chairs the European Integration Committee of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, representing the business community in dialogue with European institutions and advancing closer economic integration with the EU. His international business engagement also includes the Ukraine–Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council and the Ukraine–Spain Business Council, which he chairs on the Ukrainian side, strengthening economic ties and cross-border business cooperation.
Mykhailo brings extensive experience across business, diplomacy, government and energy. His public-sector career spans the Ukrainian government, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and the Office of the Vice Prime Minister. He later served as Deputy CEO of Ukrenergo and Governor of the Kyiv Region, with a focus on cross-border engagement and institutional reform.
Global trade is becoming more complex. Countries are stepping up protection of domestic producers, new requirements, standards, and trade restrictions are emerging, and access to major markets increasingly depends on more than a product's price and quality.
For Ukrainian businesses, this means finding new operating models - not only exporting, but also building partnerships, investing, establishing a local presence, and becoming part of international production chains.
How can Ukrainian companies maintain their positions in traditional markets, enter new ones, and turn shifts in global trade into opportunities for growth? We will discuss this at KIEF 2026 during the panel discussion "Global Markets: Closed Doors or New Opportunities?".
