Tomas Fiala

Tomáš Fiala is the Founder of Dragon Capital, one of Ukraine’s leading investment groups. He initiated the creation of Dragon Capital in 2000 and has played a central role in building the company into a diversified investment and financial services group.

Tomáš began his career at Bayerische Vereinsbank in Prague, while continuing his studies at the Prague University of Economics. He later joined Wood & Co., a leading regional investment bank, and moved to Ukraine in 1996 to establish and head the firm’s local representative office.

Tomáš served as President of the European Business Association (EBA) from 2010 to 2015 and from 2016 to 2021. In 2015, he co-founded the Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), an independent economic policy think tank, and became Chairman of its Supervisory Board. From 2016 to 2020, he served on the Board of Transparency International Ukraine. In October 2020, Tomáš was elected to the Board of Directors of the Kyiv School of Economics.
