Vira Platonova started her work in the Ukrainian office of Mastercard Europe in 2010 as a Business Development Director and became the Head of representative office in February 2012. Prior to joining Mastercard, she held managerial positions in core companies and banks. She has a Degree in Economic Sciences.

Under the direction of Vira Platonova Mastercard company:

•   confirms leadership positions in the Ukrainian payment market for many years;

•   has been recognized three times as the best payment system in Ukraine based on independent research "Ukrainian People Award" in 2015, 2016, 2017;

•   actively supports the development of Ukrainian cities within the concept of "smart city", which opens the possibility of cashless contactless payment in public transport - metro, funicular, trams, buses, and in other urban infrastructure;

•   launched the first in Ukraine incubation program for Fintech startups Fintech Master in cooperation with 1991 Open Data Incubator supported by the NBU;

•   acted as an organizer of the first Financial Inclusion Forum in Ukraine - Finclusion UA supported by the NBU;

•   became a partner of launching the global mobile NFC-wallets as Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Garmin Pay;

•   introduced the first partner solutions in Ukraine to pay for fuel at the gas stations, parking, and other services via mobile with no need to hold the payment card in hands;

•   has brought Ukraine to the TOP three countries in Europe on the frequency of use of the global platform Masterpass for digital wallets;

•   actively developed the company's work on the markets of Georgia, Moldova, and countries of Central Asia.

Vira was noted by the leading Ukrainian business editions as one of the best managers of the country: entered the "TOP 100 Most Successful Women in Ukraine” list by one of the top Ukrainian weekly magazines “Novoye Vremya” (2018); ranked among “TOP 8 Women in Fintech Industry”, according to online edition “Obozrevatel” (2018); she is a participant of the “TOP 10. The most successful women leaders and business, which they manage”, by the business magazine “Vlast’ Deneg” (2017); ranked twice among " Top 100 most influential women in Ukraine" in the popular Ukrainian weekly “Focus” in 2016 and 2017.
